Times New Roman is no longer an unfamiliar typeface to the people of Vietnam as it appears in almost all textbooks in schools. As we grow older, it becomes prevalent in contracts and paper documents as well. However, we have mostly used it as a body font, rarely as a title font or as a display font.

As we grow older, it becomes prevalent in contracts and paper documents as well. However, we have mostly used it as a body font, rarely as a title font or as a display font.
This is a personal project where I have researched and experimented with the Type Specimen of Times New Roman. I discovered that Times New Roman possesses a rich and distinctive collection of glyphs, and it would be a waste not to utilize it in a more creative manner.
In this project, I have explored layout design and employed Times New Roman in a fresh and unconventional way.
2021
Times New Roman itself is a traditional serif typeface, but within its glyph set, there are numerous formal script glyphs. These may initially seem unrelated, but when juxtaposed, they create a remarkably harmonious feeling.

The entire set of icons and fonts in this project are derived from the glyphs of Times New Roman. There are still many characters that I have yet to incorporate into my designs. In addition to the Formal Script glyphs, there are also Display Typeface glyphs, as well as unique modifications to the anatomy of type, such as the ear and bar, which add a distinctive touch.
